THE NATURAL SCIENCE MUSEUM

Landon enjoyed all the exhibits at The Natural Science Museum. He especially liked the turtles and fish. He wasn't real interested in the snakes because they weren't moving around but I had to add this picture of the two-headed Rat Snake which I was fascinated with. The only other two-headed snake in the world was in China and died a few years ago. This is the only one known to be on exhibit in the world. Both heads have a brain and mind of his own but they share everything below the throat. The guide was explaining that both heads have to eat. Not for the body's sake but for the head's sake :). They try to feed each head a couple of hours apart because of the digestion process; however, they have seen both heads swallow prey at the same time and it just all goes down together. He also stated that when the snake hunts one head will see it's prey and the other want. The two heads battle it out but the one who has spotted the food usually is so determined that he wins. Anyway, I thought this was very interesting and I hope I didn't freak anyone out.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF PAPAW JORDAN

I don't have a recent picture of Landon with his Papaw because my grandfather was sick the last couple of times I visited him. He was ready to be reunited with his wife and son and I am greatful to the Lord that he is now with my Daddy and grandmother in heaven rejoicing with Jesus. These 3 deaths within 9 1/2 months have shown me more clearly that we are only here on earth but a short while and that this is not our home. Soon I will be reunited with loved ones that were very dear to me.
